getting ready for Caitlin's big day

Madison was so excited to make Caitlin's birthday cake. She said that she could do it all by herself. Well, she did it with Caitlin and Blake's help of course. Caitlin chose pink and purple for the frosting colors. As you can see, it wasn't the prettiest cake, but it was made with love by Madison. She even did most of the frosting and decorating. Caitlin absolutely loved it and Blake said, "Why does it always have to be a princess?" BOYS!!!!! We sang to her tonight because we always go to Red Robin for birthdays and eat ice cream there. We had a great relaxing weekend and even snuck in a lunch with Grandma and Papa.
Brett and I hung a birthday banner, streamers and balloons for her birthday tonight after the kids went to bed. They are going to be sooooo excited. Brett let me know that this is going to have to become a tradition for all the birthdays in our house. I think that it would be a great new tradition :) I hope to capture her sweet little face when she sees it.

A day of firsts - blogging

I have such a great time reading everyone's blogs that I finally decided to write my own. Our three kids are always coming up with the crazyiest things and taking me on some great adventures that I thought I could share with a few friends and family. So here is my shot at this. Of course two are napping, one is playing ZOO TYCOON and Brett is at work.
