POWER

Today is our first day back to "NORMAL". Being without power in the winter is pretty tricky. We lost our power Monday morning around 1:30 AM. I woke right up with the wind and then house silence. I was so worried about the kids waking up and then being scared and trying to wander down the stairs in the dark that I couldn't sleep well. Any little noise I kept jumping out of bed to check on the kids. The next morning we were gamed, crafted out by 10:30 am. Thankfully a friend who had power invited us over. I took our DS's, IPAD and my phone to be charged!!!!!!

Another friend invited us for dinner and a slumber party...YEAH!!!! Brett ended up staying home to watch over the fireplaces and take care of the critters. Poor Spike, he didn't do so well in the cold. We closed off as much of the house as possible and had our two fireplaces running the whole time.

We came home that next afternoon to check on the house and critters. The house was actually 65 degrees. Brett met us at our friends house for dinner. We gave the kids baths and hung out for a bit. We brought the kids home that night to camp out in front of the fireplace. They were very excited. Our power came back on during the night and THANKFULLY they had school the next morning. It was a crazy week, but the kids loved it!!!!!! I am still trying to catch up on laundry...
