Little Kindergartener

Caitlin has adjusted very well to Kindergarten.  She loves riding the bus with all the neighborhood kids.  She waves to me everyday out the bus window.  That little smile and wave will stay in my memory FOREVER!!!!  It is so sweet and innocent.

I pick her up from school everyday at 11:45.  The parents wait outside the school doors and the teachers bring out all the kids.  Most of the kids ride busses home, but I opted for morning kindergarten and therefore have to pick her up.  The second she walks out the door, I see her scanning the area for me.  As soon as we make eye contact, she lights up.  It could possibly be my favorite part of the day.  I'm not quite sure who is more happy to see the other person.  She has to wait in line until her teacher dismisses her.  She quickly comes over, gives me a big hug and walks holding my hand to the truck - PRICELESS...

Our afternoons together have been great.  She has a music class and swimming lesson on two of the afternoons.  We are also trying to do at least one play date on another afternoon.

She has also started gymnastics, soccer, and tap/ballet in the evenings.  She is quite the little athlete - just like her sister.  Her first soccer game is this Saturday.  She is so excited to be playing.  She spent a lot of time last year cheering her brother and sister on.

For three years now, Caitlin has been holding the pencil the wrong way.  I have tried so HARD to get her to change the way she holds it.  She would not do it.  Guess what?????  First week of kindergarten she does it the right way...  Thank you Mrs. Fouts!!!!!!

The other afternoon, she plopped herself down on the couch with her NIGHT NIGHT and said, "This is the LIFE"!!!!!!!!  That pretty much sums up Caitlin right now.
